Mr. Blake Crawford graduated from Salina High School in 2000.  He then attended Northeastern Oklahoma State University where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and a Master’s Degree in School Counseling.  Mr. Crawford started counseling as an intern at Pryor High School in the spring of 2007.  He accepted the full time position at Pryor High School that summer and officially started his career during the 2007-2008 School Year.  Mr. Crawford prided himself in connecting students to as many possibilities after high school as he could.  No scholarships were ruled out, including the QuestBridge Scholarship for which he helped two students receive this very prestigious award.  Mr. Crawford was able to connect four seniors to the University of New Mexico, where they each received $250,000 scholarships.  He was nominated by his Marine and Navy recruiters to attend week-long seminars in San Diego, California. 

While working at Pryor Schools, Mr. Crawford went back to college, earning his degree in School Psychology at the University of Central Oklahoma and a Master’s Degree in School Administration from Northeastern Oklahoma State University.  After seven years at Pryor High School, He accepted a position as a counselor at Broken Arrow High School.  Mr. Crawford worked there for a year and then moved to an administrative and counseling position at Broken Arrow’s Alternative and Virtual Education Program. 

After his years in the Broken Arrow System, Mr. Crawford accepted the position of High School Principal at his alma mater, Salina High School.  In this role, he has led the school through the challenging times of the teacher walkout and the COVID pandemic.  He was instrumental in expanding the virtual program at the school and adding Cherokee Language and eSports to the curriculum.  Mr. Crawford is proud to lead a team of outstanding educators at Salina High School.
